Default Fastest way to get through NF Campaign? (Help needed)

Hey guys, I just wanted to know which is the fastest way to get through the NightFall campaign with a new character starting at NF and a level 20 character starting from prophecy just entering NF.

If you guys dont really understand what I mean, I will try to explain from prophecy campaign view : get runned to LA , get runned to Droks, get droks armor(get power leveled maybe?), skip most missions in between all runs, get desert run ( finish desert missions ) get acsended and have access to ToA. then maybe finish Southern Shiverpeak and Ring of Fire Island missions later.

Something I also noticed but am not really sure is, bringing a level 20 character into NF makes everything very fast paste, skipping some missions, and primary quests taking you where you need to be to beat game.

But on the other hand, starting a new character in NF at level 1, many quests are needed, primary quests are all over the place, kind of confusing compared to starting from a level 20.

So I am asking to know which is fastest way to get through NF campaign both ways; from level 20 , and from level 1. I haven't got to farm in a while and I just beat the game with my warrior, but having to beat the game again with my ele, dervish, paragon, ranger, & monk is gonna be a real hastle(including those NF characters I made, having to beat prophecy afterwards).

Thanks alot guys, and I did use the search button, I always do everytime im looking for something, but I really couldnt find it. So I made a account and finally asked.

Each mission/quest in the story line must be completed in order (there are some branches so not all 20 are needed). Each one will not activate until the one before it is complete. While you can get ran to outposts or ferried to the consulate docks (for max armor) you still not enter the missions and must do them in order.

The only difference between a local and foreign character is that local go through the Istan quests/missions - from the Consulate Docks on there is absolutely no difference.

Hmm, but for my level 20 warrior that came into NF, he skipped the mission west of Istan Islands, no primary quest lead me to there anyways. But for my paragon I just made, I dont even have a primary quest at the moment and I am at Jokanur Diggings Mission area, which I never even saw that place on my level 20 warrior but still beat the game.

nightfall chars have to complete noob island before they can leave for the mainland. chars from other chapters only have to do consulate to get to the mainland.

Thus I wrote the following: "The only difference between a local and foreign character is that local go through the Istan quests/missions - from the Consulate Docks on there is absolutely no difference."

I'm not sure which part of that is hard to understand. You have not done the Consulate Docks mission (and you are therefore, "before Consulate Docks") and you are the island of Istan. Given that you meet both requirements I'm not sure what else I can say. There is a quest or so before consulate that they share (the one where you rally the troops), but that is close enough and not where your confusion arises from.

If you happen to purchase Factions, Shing Jea island works the same way - foreign characters skip the noob missions/quests and start at the mainland. Also to note, your level 20 warrior can do that mission but isn't required (nor do you get any rewards from it), and in fact it is required if you are looking for a protector title.

this is your map^ conveniently, anet also changed the mechanics for foreign characters to cut around the sunspear point farm quest "a hero shall lead" which saved alot of needless kourna bashing/questing.

the one time I really really tried to rush through, I did my old prophs' warrior in a little over 10 hours. once you know what to do in the missions, it becomes easier to just heroway it than look for pugs. especially grand court.

actually if you want to save yourself a LOT of time, just do grand court solo regardless... dont know if ive ever once done that mission successfully in a pug group.

Maybe its because of the forced sunspear farming, but anymore when I take a character through nightfall, I always feel so free and accomplished once the vabbi tracks start playing. That, and I find the color of sulphur inspiring.

Final Answer: one day of hardcore gaming.

I did with my monk, it took 29 mn instead of 8mn, even though I was yelling "don't kill the blasphemy, close down the rifts !!!"

Who cares about what the monks says ?

If you are starting a new character in nightfall, it's quickest to level up-- if you have factions-- to get a ferry over to factions, and use quests there to level up your character to lvl 20 outside of the city and marketplace. Also, another quick thing you can do once you get to the mainland. The venti Cemetary mission can be run very easily...just stick to the right wall the whole way. Takes about 5-10 minutes.
